Gina Balgoyen, APRN, is a Board-Certified wound care specialist with nearly 20 years of progressive experience, from bedside nursing to leadership roles. She began her career in 2005 as a Trauma Nurse at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Florida and later worked in the HCA system in Las Vegas. At Dignity Health, Gina excelled in Cardiology and Intermediate Care, taking on leadership roles such as Nurse Shift Manager and Case Manager.

Since 2018, she has been a leading advocate for advanced wound care. Gina excelled as a Field Clinician at Woundtech. She was promoted to Regional Medical Director. In this role, she implemented a proactive approach (of best practices and novel strategies) which significantly increased wound healing rates and reduced infections, readmissions, and amputation risks.

Gina holds a Master's in Nursing from South University, a BSN from the University of Phoenix, an ADN from Keiser University, and a BS in Accountancy from the University of the East. She is ANCC Board-Certified, APWH Certified, and maintains BLS and ACLS certifications. Gina is licensed with the Nevada Board of Nursing (APRN and RN), DEA, and Nevada Board of Pharmacy.
Nurse Practitioner Khadija Bilalli-Azzat is a founding partner of Vital Wound Care (VWC) in Las Vegas. With over 20 years in the Las Vegas Valley, she graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Nursing program and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from UNLV in 2021. Specializing in wound care, Nurse Kay worked with top specialists on complex and chronic wounds before co-founding VWC.

She began her RN career at Sunrise Children’s Hospital, spending a decade in Adult and Pediatric Intensive Care and Cardiac Intensive Care Units, known for her successful collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Bilalli earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors from Touro University in 2013 and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.

Active in the Las Vegas nursing community and medical charity work, she has been published by the Nevada Nurses Association and travels worldwide with Heart Trust pediatric cardiac care charity. Her certifications include the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Nevada Board of Nursing: APRN, Basic Life Support (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and ECG certification from UMC.
